Yesterday evening, project managers from the PRINCE2 and SCRUM community met to exchange experiences at the regional conference of PRINCE2 Deutschland e.V. in Hamburg. Jens Hoffmann presented his experiences from the successful integration of the two project approaches.
Conclusion: The combination of classic project management and agile project management is a win-win for both sides:
- Agile projects according to SCRUM or DSDM ATERN gain top management acceptance and a stable anchoring in the business objectives through integration with PRINCE2.
- PRINCE2 projects gain greater flexibility and faster, visible successes by opening up to agile approaches.
