The 5. PRINCE2 Day Germany 2009, which took place in Cologne on April 24 under the title "PRINCE2 and the Project Organization", recorded a new record number of participants. More than 100 users of the project management method and decision-makers from a wide range of industries took the opportunity to find out about the latest developments in PRINCE2 and to exchange ideas with other project managers. Jens Hoffmann was also present, who moderated the networking session for the participants directly after the opening lecture. For them, getting to know each other and exchanging experiences with each other is almost the most important feature of a successful conference. This makes it all the more important that the participants get to know each other quickly and know what the other is currently doing.

We supported this with a LEGO SERIOUS PLAY™ session. Such a session uses LEGO elements to stimulate the imagination and as a means of visualising the stories. The focus of the 30-minute session was on the challenges that everyone is currently facing in their work, in their projects, and what answers they expect from the PRINCE2 project management method and in particular from PRINCE2 Day. The fact that the subject of the discussion, the LEGO model, which represents the current statement of the narrator, is between the participants, creates a trusting dialogue. The dialogue method brought the participants into conversation with each other so quickly and intensively that it was difficult for the moderator to interrupt them when the scheduled time was up and the other presentations were waiting.
